Surfskate FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to skateboard to try surfskate?

Not at all. Surfskate technique is different from traditional skateboarding. It’s more intuitive and much closer to surfing movements. Our instructors teach you everything from scratch, including foot placement and how to generate motion.

Is surfskate dangerous?

Safety is our priority. Full protective gear is included (helmet, knee pads and elbow pads). Plus, as this is a guided private experience with a professional instructor, the risk is significantly lower than practising on your own.

Where does the surfskate experience take place in Gran Canaria?

We usually use open areas with smooth surfaces in Maspalomas or Meloneras, ideal for surfskating. If you book the transfer, we’ll take you directly to the meeting point.

What should I wear?

Comfortable sports clothing, closed trainers (Vans-style or running shoes) and socks. We provide everything else.
